i actually don’t find this particularly surprising. religious families practically brainwash their children into being religious. of course they’re going to have a higher retention rate than anyone else. 

also see how they separated the “atheist” and “no particular religion” categories. “no particular religion” has a higher retention rate too.

the debate wouldn’t have gone any further than this even if the pro-choicer had given a serious response. this is just one of the million canned questions they teach you at church hoping for an instant “OH SNAP YOU’RE RIGHT.” if it doesn’t work, they throw another one at you. and then another. and then another. they get worse and worse until they start telling you that women who get abortions are worse than hitler because abortions kill more people than the holocaust ever did.

you learn not to take these questions seriously and save your breath for people who want to talk instead of parrot this crap at you.
